Green Community program – GreenID acts aiming at reaching the objective of promoting green initiatives, community-base sustainable models, encouraging energy saving and energy efficiency solutions, well salvaging available energy resources at the local, application of climate change mitigation and adaptation measures, increasing the effectiveness of environmental governance.  In order to concretize GreenID’s strategies, Green Community Program is going to use participatory methodologies and focusing on energy, climate change and environment and targeted in the areas where have potential on renewable energy or might not access to the grid such as the red river delta, the central and the Mekong delta. During more than a year ago Green Community program actively acted aim to contribute to the sustainable energy development in rural areas in particular and in the Mekong region in general.

-  The project: “Building an energy alliance for sustainable energy development in Viet Nam and the MeKong region” funded by the Swedish International Development Agency – Swedish Embassy to implement in period from May 2012 to September 2013. The project was implemented not only to support for two communes to develop their energy plans but also conducting a set of research as well as workshops on policy. This is to contribute to sustainable energy development objective in Viet Nam in particular and the Mekong region in general. -  The project: “Disaster prevention and Risk reduction, improved Water supply and Livelihood in Thai Binh province” funded by Mercy Relief – Singapore to implement in Nam Cuong commune, Tien Hai district from October 2012 to October 2013. The overall objective of the project is to build up the capacity of the communities in disaster responsiveness and improve the water supply and livelihood. -  The project: “Promoting participatory and community – led energy planning approach in Nam Dinh province, the red river delta, Viet Nam” funded by Rosa to implement from February 2013 to February 2014 in Nam Dinh province. The objective of the project is to contribute to enhance sustainable energy development in Vietnam by promoting sustainable energy policies, context-relevant local energy planning, demand side management practices and renewable energy generation for sustainable usage.For more information please refer to: http://greenidvietnam.org.vn/en/?p=850
