Project Title: Strengthening vulnerable groups’ resilience to disasters and climate change:  sustainable energy solutions in Quy Nhon city

Objective:

Overall objective: To understand the impacts of natural disasters on energy use amongst vulnerable groups in Quy Nhon city. 

Specific objectives:

  • To assess energy demand, energy status and access to resources amongst vulnerable groups such as fishermen, small seafood producers and poor households.
  • To identify suitable alternative energy solutions for vulnerable groups for disaster preparedness planning through the application of the simulation game. 

Activities:

  • Reviews literature review regarding to climate change, climate change impacts on energy sector
  • Doing survey in 2 wards in Quy Nhon City in order to collect the opinions of different stakeholders from provincial to commune levels.
  • Organize sharing meeting with non-state actors to collect their comments and opinion for sustainable energy models
  • Produce the working paper for wide distribution.
