.(SGGPO) – According to USA Today, on the opening ceremony day of Paris COP 21, among of leaders from 20 countries, the US’s president, France’s president and Microsoft’s owner, Bill Gates together staged in project called “Missions of new technology” to develop clean technology and enable poor country to enhance green development.
As followed, countries taking part in COP 21 committed to increase 2 times their investment in clean technology to solve global climate problems in the next 5 years. Billionaire Bill Gates set up a project attracting money from 28 large private investors, among those who are Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, George Soros, chairman of Soros Fund Management. They boost research and development into new environmentally friendly teachnologies,
World Bạnk (WB) declared to establish a 500-million USD –fund to support developing countries cut down the amount of greenhousegas emissions. This Fund called “the basis of carbon transformation ” will activate on the sectors of renewable energy, transportation, energy efficiency and low-carbon cities. Germany, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland are main sponsors for this fund.
Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon made speech on the opening ceremony of COP 21.
Within activies of COP 21, Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon with 13 United Nations Organizations proposed new ideas to broaden the abilities to adapt to climate change in the most vulnerable countries. The new idea called “Forecasting, adapting and reshaping” improves the countries’ capability of forecasting, adapting to unexpectedly cases and recover the development in order to lessen risk climate changes. In the next 5 years, the idea will attract finance and knowledge, establish and organize the groups of action in levels, coordinate to achieve positive result, promote research and development into new technology. The idea will satisfy demand of nearly 634 millions people, approximately 1/10 population of the world, living in region which is higher than sea water level a few miles, with residents in possible of drought and flood areas. Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon supported International Union of Solar Energy established by Indian and French Government. This union enables rich in solar energy countries to take full advantage of abundant and cheap natural resource.
That a new legal form about climate changes in period after 2020 (called Paris agreement 2015) is passed is the main objectives of 196 countries in COP 21. According to it, countries commit to decrease the amount of waste to limit increasing temperature under 2°C in the end of 21st century in comparison with industrial period 1850-1990. Scientific researches demonstrate that if the amount of emission is not cut down thoroughly, the world’s temperature is probable to increase up to 4.8°C in the end of 21st century. This will become world’s catastrophe when melting ice in two poles results in rising sea water level up to 2m, submerges many countries and deltas in the world.
