LAUNCHING GREEN SCHOOL PROGRAM AT THE SKY-LINE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

On November 2nd, the Sky-line Educational System associated with Green Innovation and Development Centre (GreenID) implemented the Green School program starting from 2020 to 2021.

The program aims to build a friendly learning environment, towards the "Green School" model, at the same time raising awareness and enhancing students' activities, improving their skills to become global citizens.

Accordingly, the program was implemented at 5 facilities of the system including these main activities: Establishing the Green Star Club; Training for the club; Communicating to raise awareness of students and teachers; Spreading the program.

Participating in the Green Star Club at Sky-Line educational system, students will have a chance to: Learn about Air pollution, its causes, and solutions; Renewable energy, energy efficiency; Energy audit at schools; Be trained about communication skills on renewable energy and energy efficiency to become communicators; Participate in many innovation competitions organized for schools in the Green School program; Achieve awards and be sponsored to implement their ideas at the school; Participate in children's forums annually organized by GreenID; Enhance the ability to use other languages (English) through training and interact with international experts and volunteers.

Sky-Line Education System students participate in the program. 

The Green School program under the framework of the project “Strengthening the capacity of social organizations, professions and local organizations on renewable energy solutions, using energy efficiently and saving energy through training courses, seminars, and communication in order to contribute to promoting the implementation of the sustainable development and green growth strategy in Vietnam” implemented in Vietnam by the Green Innovation and Development Center (GreenID), in collaboration with the Independent Institute for Environmental Issues (UfU) and the financial support of the European Union.

This is a program that is being interested in the community with the aim of enhancing schools to apply a sustainable energy model (including renewable energy and energy efficiency), toward saving money, protecting the environment, strengthening student skills, and improving their engagement.

The "Green School" program designed by GreenID is different from previous activities. The program will focus on the topic of energy efficiency and green lifestyle, inherited from the European '50/50' educational program.
