It can be considered that clean water comes to the remote village today, mainly from the hand in hand towarding Green Energy and by Runners contribution 5 months ago. In the process, Vietnam Sustainable Energy Alliance is really proud to be a bridge.

On 25th January, 2019, the inauguration ceremony of Integrated drinking water and solar power supply was officially launched by the Green Innovation and Development Centre (GreenID), on behalf of Vietnam Sustainable Energy Alliance (VSEA) with technical set up and support by SolarBK after many days of construction at Cu Pui 1 Primary School, Dak Lak Province.

This activity is a continuation of the narrowing of the energy gap by contribution of more than 500 participants in Hanoi who attended “Run for Green Energy”, within the framework of the annual Vietnam Renewable Energy Week held in August, 2018; under the financial support of the European Union, and the Danish Embassy. Since then, the Green Innovation and Development Center (GreenID) - member of Vietnam Sustainable Energy Alliance cooperates with Solar BK and the “Toi cuu mang” group to conduct research, survey and select Cu Pui 1 Primary School is the final destination to bring clean water to children in the Central Highlands. Water purification system by solar at Cu Pui 1 school has a humanity and practical meaning for the lives of children of ethnic minorities in Krong Bong district, Dak Lak province in the context of children using contaminated water directly from the tap.

At the inauguration ceremony, the representative of Green Innovation and Development Center (GreenID) presented to students the "Solar Battery System" project worth 70 million VND (including 66 million VND) - the amount of money raised through the Green Energy Run, August, 2018), representative of the “Toi cuu mang” group donated " the clean water system (RO)" system worth 82 million VND, SolarBK Media Company donated 50 gifts to 50 students in extremely difficult circumstances. The total value of this program is 162 million VND.

"Thanks to the clean water system, students have a pure drinking water source and understand more about the importance of green energy in daily life now. The school also obtained a sum of money from reselling clean water for people in the commune with a price of 6,000 VND/20 liters and reselling the electricity to the electricity industry with a price 2,086 VND/kWh. With this money, Cu Pui 1 will reinvest in facilities for students, replace old led bulbs, repair and expand the library.” – said Ms. Vo Thi Kim Thuy, Vice Rector of Cu Pui 1 Primary School at the ceremony.

Representative of GreenID - the energy expert Tran Dinh Sinh shared about choosing the location to operate: "We know Cu Pui 1 have had many difficulties. Most of students here are poor. Going to school every day is a challenge for children due to lack of conditions, even to the source of drinking water daily at school is also contaminated, containing risk of disease. This is motivation for GreenID to complete this program.”

It can be considered that clean water comes to the remote village today, mainly from the hand in hand towarding Green Energy and by Runners contribution 5 months ago. In the process, Vietnam Sustainable Energy Alliance is really proud to be a bridge. We will continue our mission and pathway - to ensure the sustainability of the clean water system through researching and developing a long-term usage plan to meet the demand of drinking water of Cu Pui school in 2028, when the number of students and teachers here is estimated to double from the present. The model is expected to be a model for similar projects in the coming time in the Central Highlands promoting sustainable energy development, bringing more comfortable life in remote areas.
