Green Innovation and Development Centre (GreenID) is a Vietnamese non-profit organization (NPO) recognized by Decision 840/QD-LHH dated 27th December 2011.
GreenID works to promote sustainable development in Vietnam and the larger Mekong region and is now on its way to become a leading and credible civil society actor promoting sustainable energy sector development. GreenID recognizes that to promote sustainability it must address constraints related to governance, organisational structures and social and technology integration. GreenID has project-specific experience coupled with cutting edge global knowledge and theory to help integrate sustainable solutions into policy and local communities.
Focusing on unlocking clean energy potential in Vietnam, GreenID has introduced some initiatives about renewable energy both domestic and international to apply in Vietnam’s situation. We have looked at both centralized and decentralized solutions and selected the right solutions to apply. GreenID is implementing clean energy solutions that take advantage of available local energy resources to replace harmful energy resources such as coal and oil. In the context of Vietnam's import of coal for future power generation, green solutions not only reduce health impacts, but also reduce dependence on imported energy and even create opportunities for employment and a new growth model for the Vietnamese economy.
Purpose of the position:
Ensure effective monitoring & evaluation system for GreenID program.
Ensure effective capacity building for GreenID staff and for program partners.
Responsible for knowledge management in GreenID
Main responsibilities:
Designing, monitoring & evaluation (DME):
Develop annual plan of action for designing, monitoring and evaluation for GreenID program, and cooperate with program teams to implement the plan.
Lead DME events including baseline survey, context assessment, annual program planning, designing model concept, periodical program review, and evaluation.
Provide technical support to program teams to design program monitoring tools, information consolidation, and reporting.
Manage tracking program progress indicators, and report the tracking result to GreenID board of management.
Monitor the progress of GreenID annual business plan
Ensure the quality of information in program report.
Ensure the lesson learnt from M&E system used for program continuous improvement
Ensure program process followed DME process in GreenID program guideline.
Lead creativity and innovation for DME system in order to increase effectiveness and efficiency of program quality control, including application of GIS, IT.
Capacity building
Develop annual action plan for capacity building for GreenID staff, and facilitate the implementation of the plan.
Provide technical support to building capacity for program partners
Provide technical support of participatory methodology in capacity building activities to program team, including the development of a guideline for participatory training/workshop.
Lead creativity and innovation in application of online training & workshop
Monitor effectiveness of capacity building activities and provide solutions for continuous improvement.
Knowledge management:
Develop the information management system in GreenID
Collect and structure information in the system
Ensure stored information used for sharing, learning & continuous improvement in GreenID effectively.
Finance and admin:
Ensure the completion of advance and liquidation for program expenditure as GreenID financial regulation.
Quality requirement:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in economy, environment, energy, business administration, social work.
Knowledge, skills and capability:
Knowledge and skill of program designing, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building
Understanding of clean energy development strategy, evidence-based advocacy approach
Basic understanding of solar rooftop, Agri solar, fossil power, and environmental protection
Knowledge and skill of facilitation, coordination, mobilization
Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed written and oral communications skills in Vietnamese.
Good English skills.
Solid computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.
Ability to think critically and reflect.
Ability to learn
Strong interest in clean energy development & environmental protection
Good capability in teamwork
Ability to frequently travel
Experiences:
More than 03-years of experience in program designing, monitoring and evaluation.
