THE INAUGURATION OF LIGHTING UP RURAL ROADS IN TUNG CHUNG PHO COMMUNE

On May 28th, Green Innovation and Development Centre of Vietnam Unions of Science and Technology Associations held the handover ceremony of the lighting model for rural roads in Tung Chung Pho Commune (Muong Khuong). Caption 1: The view of the handover ceremony.

This is a model of the project “Enhancing the capacity for local, professional, social organizations on renewable energy solutions and economical, efficient use of energy through a training course, training, seminars, and communication to contribute to the promotion of implementing the strategies of sustainable development and green growth in VietNam”.

There were 40 solar light posts for a 7-kilometer road between Lung Pau and Sao Tung Villages. The total value of the model is VND 86 million that sponsored by The European Union (EU) and people contributed 30%.

The solar light system helps to save energy, protect the environment. The lighting of rural roads will create favorable conditions for daily life, production, and trade of people in Tung Chung Pho Commune. This contributed to the development of the new rural area in the locality.
