The Opening Ceremony of Sao Xanh Club at Nguyen Trai Secondary School, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi

On June 25, 2020, GreenID coordinated with the Board of Directors of Nguyen Trai Secondary School to organize the launch of the Green Star Club of Nguyen Trai Secondary School, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.

After the kick-off ceremony of the "Green School" program and handover of the rooftop solar power project, on June 25 at Nguyen Trai Secondary School, Ba Dinh District, the opening ceremony of Sao Club was held.

30 students who have signed up to attend and are selected to join the Green Star Club of Nguyen Trai Secondary School will be trained in knowledge about air pollution and renewable energy, and participate in initiative contests with other Green Star Club in the Green School network. Especially students have an opportunity to take part in the Children Forum in August 2020 to express their opinion about renewable energy and the environment. Besides, they will also improve their English skills through training and networking activities with international volunteers.

Luu Tran Quang Long, a student of class 7A3, who represents the students in Green Star Club, felt very happy, and also anxiety. After knowing the reason, purpose, and meaning of the Green Star Club, he felt very proud and excited. Long hopes that he will learn and exchange with the students of Green Star Club at other schools and improve his knowledge through activities of the club.
