Workshop on sharing of survey results of enterprises participating in the project “Women use RE to increase adaptive capacity and enhance climate - resilient livelihoods in Viet Nam”

On October 27th, 2020, GreenID collaborated with An Giang provincial Women’s Union to organize a Workshop on sharing of survey results of enterprises participating in the project “Women use RE to increase adaptive capacity and enhance climate-resilient livelihoods in Viet Nam” at the Women’s Union meeting hall.

The workshop attracted more than 15 people including representatives from the Economic Committee of the Provincial Women's Union, the leadership of the Provincial Women's Entrepreneurs Association, the leaderships of female groups/enterprises, commune-level Women's Union officials from where the female groups/enterprises were surveyed.

During the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, the economist, shared the results of the survey of female groups/enterprises with potential economic development applied renewable energy, including Khang Anh company; Thao An Khang company; the local business group of energy products in Tri Ton district; Homestay of May - Cam Mountain; and the Nui Cam bamboo chopsticks group.

Female groups/enterprises have attentively listened to the results, enthusiastically participated in discussions and promised to collaborate and support each other in the future.

During the discussion session, the An Giang provincial Women's Union and GreenID selected two female groups/enterprises to support them, including the local business group of energy products in Tri Ton district and the Nui Cam bamboo chopsticks group. After that, the Provincial Women's Union, GreenID, and the economist instructed 02 selected enterprises to develop action plans, build market linkage strategies, sustainability, and scalability. Simultaneously, representatives of Khang Anh Company and May's Homestay promised to support 02 selected groups to develop businesses, expand their markets and become partners in the future.

The workshop finished successfully, it is expected that in early November, the two selected groups will complete their business development action plans.
